Our understanding of this truth will very much impact whether or not we live as though were here to stay or if our focus is on our eternal residence. If we indeed are citizens of heaven, we can be encouraged today that God has prepared a place for us in eternity and that His Son, Jesus Christ, has prepared us for this place. In essence, the apostle Paul reminds us that we are to work for Christ as we await His return.
