GOD STICKS OUT

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. Against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

A little boy once asked his mother if God lived inside him. She responded, "Yes." Then he asked if God was bigger than he was, and again she said, "Yes." Then the boy said, "Mom, if God is in me and He is bigger than me, shouldn't He stick out?"
I truly believe one of the ways God sticks out in our lives is through the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
When a person names Jesus Christ as Savior, he or she acknowledges God the Father, recognizes Jesus as God the Son, and is filled with God the Holy Spirit. And it is that gift of the Spirit that prompted Jesus to say, "It is to your advantage that I go away" (John 16:7). He explained that when He left, He would send His Holy Spirit our Helper, Comforter, and Teacher.
The way God sticks out, the, is through  the Holy Spirit sown fruit in our lives. Now understand that we do not produce this fruit. It is produced in us by indwelling Holy Spirit. Every believer is to bear the full fruit of the spirit, which involves the list found in Galatians 5:22-23.
One more thing. Yes, we receive the Holy Spirit at the moment of our salvation, but we are leaky vessels that need fresh fillings of God's Spirit. Ask God to fill you afresh with His Spirit today so He can stick out!


Prayer :

Father, I want my cup to run over with love , joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control of Your Spirit. Please give a fresh filling of Your Spirit today and every day.
