SETTING OUR SOULS FREE

The Lord restored Job's losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. Job 42:10

Job experienced a horrific day. Satan had sought and received God's permission to subject Job to a whirlwind of intense misery. In one dreadful day, Job lost all seven sons and his three daughters. He lost all his cattle and most his servants. In just a few hours, Job's children and business were gone.
And when his friends visited, any hope Job had of receiving comfort and condolences quickly faded. The so called friends shared only words of rebuke and criticism; their thoughts left Job feeling shame and guilt.
Then one day everything changed. Job was set free from pain and blessed with glorious prosperity. What made the difference? "He prayed for his friends." The Lord was not impressed with Job's friends. They were in danger of God's judgment. But when Job prayed for them, God set Job free. Earlier, when Job had prayed for himself, his anguish had not been relieved. After Job showed love for his friends who had wronged him, God gave Job freedom.
Job put into practice what the Lord Jesus taught: "Do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you" (Luke 6:27-28).
When you pray for others, you release them from any debt they caused you. And you will find your soul released from the prison cell of bitterness.
I encourage you today to pray for individuals who have hurt you. Allow the healing balm of the Lord to set you free.

Prayer :

Father, I pray for (mention the name of the person). May You bless his or her soul today.

In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen
