THE BIBLE IS A LIFE CHANGER

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17


The great preacher D.L. Moody once said that Christians should quit praying for faith and to read their Bibles. If they do this, God will give them faith. I truly believe that everything we need in life is found in the Bible. It is sad that the average American home has four copies, yet only eleven percent of Americans read it daily.
I don't understand why Christians will not make time for God's Word when the Bible is:

1. A lamp unto our feet (Psalms 119:105)
2. Bread for our hunger (Matthew 4:4)
3. A mirror for our life (James 1:22-25)
4. Honey for our soul (Psalms 119:103)
5. Fire for our discouragement (Jeremiah 20:9)

Many times throughout my Christian journey, when I have been walking through difficult days, I would fall asleep at night holding my Bible. You may think I'm a nut! That might be true, but I'm screwed onto the right bolt. God didn't give us the Bible to increase our knowledge but to change our lives. I want to encourage you to read your Bible every day, even if it means getting up fifteen minutes earlier each morning. You can do it! It's just mind over mattress! And I assure you, it will not be a game changer but a life changer.

Father, thank You for Your Word. Thank You that I can speak to You through prayer, and that You speak to me through the Bible.
