THE JEW FIRST

I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith." Romans 1:16-17


I have had  the awesome privilege of leading several pilgrimages to the land of Israel, and after every trip I have a deeper love for the people and for the land. As believers, we have a deep  indebtedness to the Jewish people. Have you ever thought about what they gave us?

1. The Scriptures
2. The Prophets
3. The Apostles
4. Jesus Christ

Jesus was born to Jewish parents, dedicated to God in the Jewish tradition, reared in Jewish home, ministered to the Jewish people, and died with a sign over His head inscribed,
"THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS."
With great confidence, I say to you there would be no Christianity without Judaism. Our hearts and prayers should be that Jewish people come to faith in Christ because they are God's original chosen people.
Isn't it interesting that even though Paul was a missionary to the Gentiles, he made a point of first going to the Jewish synagogue in the cities he visited?
(Acts 17:1-2). He also shared with the Jews the very same gospel he shared with the Gentiles because he wanted them to be saved.

Prayer :

Father, I pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for the Jewish people to see the reality of Jesus as Savior and Lord.
