THE PROMISE THAT WILL BE KEPT

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10

Promises. Promises are often made and often made and often broken by people. Not by God. When God makes a promise, we can stake our lives on His doing exactly what He said He would do. In fact, we can stake eternity on God's promises. And this the biggest promise: if we confess and believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, we will be saved from punishment for those sins.
Despite the fact that Christianity is two thousands years old, people still ask, "How can I be made right with God? How can I have eternal life?"
Religions around the world have been designed to address that dilemma, to answer those questions, and the consensus is...do something. These religions propose that finding God. righteousness, and eternal life are all about what we must do to earn God's favor, win His love, and gain His acceptance. These religions are like a ladder: adherents must climb up, rung by rung, to try to reach God.
But the message of Jesus turns these other religious systems on their heads.
That's because the gospel is spelled "done." Christianity following Jesus is not about what we can do for God; Christianity is about what Jesus has already done for us. We don't have to climb anymore; we only have to believe and confess.
If you put your faith in Christ, trusting that He is the perfect offering for your sins, and confess Him as your Lord, you will be saved from eternal punishment for your sins. God promises it and He always keeps His promises.

Prayer :

Father, thank You for the gift of Jesus and the promise of eternal life.

Amen
