ALL IN THE FAMILY

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling. Ephesians 4:1-4

Someone has said:
To live there above with those that we love,
Oh, that will be glory!
But to dwell here below with those that we know,
Now, that's another story.
The two bars of the cross remind us of the two dimensions of the Christian life: our relationship with God and our relationship with others. The more difficult area is relating to other people. Why? Because God is perfect, but difficult area is relating to other people are not and neither are we.
How can we live with others in a way that honors the name of Christ? By choosing humility, gentleness, and meekness. By quietly enduring people's quirks and faults. By not retaliating when someone wrongs us. This assignment is not easy, which is why God's Word calls us to work hard at it and preserve.
Jesus Christ is our role model for every aspect of the Christian life. He endured mistreatment with love and longsuffering. Believers may have different preferences as to styles of music, clothes, or politics, but if a person is a Christ follower like us, we are in the same family. Choose to love your fellow believers today.

Prayer :

My Lord, I ask You to love every person through my life and actions. For Jesus sake, Amen.
