BELIEVING GOD BRINGS HIM GLORY

Jesus said Martha, "Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?" Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, "Father, I thank You that you have heard Me,"... Now when He said these things, He cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth!" And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, :Loose him, and let him go." John 11:40-41, 43-44


Will we choose to believe God today? Every day we face various decisions, many of which come down to acting in faith in God or faith in ourselves, doing what we want to do. It is essential that we look at these decisions through the lens of this key question: will we choose to believe God today?
Jesus told Lazarus sisters and friends that if they trusted Him, they would see the glory of God demonstrated and they did! Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. At the command of His voice, Lazarus came back to life.
Today, in twenty-first century, we can see amazing demonstrations of power in microchips, smartphones, the Internet, fracking, and nuclear energy. Yet nothing is more powerful than the Lord Jesus Himself. His words bring life physical as well as spiritual.
Remember that when you open the Bible the Word of the living God. Choose this day and every day to read it, to think about it, and in faith, to base your life on what you learn. Choose to believe God. When you do, you give Jesus glory!

Prayer :

Lord God, I choose to believe You in all that I do today.
