JESUS, ALL WE NEED IN LIFE

His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness....We have been given...exceedingly great and precious promises, that though these you may be partakers of divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:3-8

I often hear these words: "it's is hard to live the Christian life." Usually the person means that it's difficult to live a moral life in an extremely immoral world. And it's getting harder. Christians around the globe face difficulty, suffering, persecution, and even death for one simple reason: they follow Christ.
Following Jesus offers soul satisfying fulfillment. Our Lord saves us from the corruption of sin and equips us to live for Him. He has given to us all we need to live a godly, God-honoring life.
Pursuing godliness and following the Lord Jesus are your synonymous. We are to disciple our lives in submission to the Lord. We are to apply God's truth to life and, by His Spirit, experience transformation and become more like Christ. This all possible because, by His grace, God has "given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness." Out of love our Lord, we submit to Him and obey His Word. By His power we live for Him and more and more that may mean we face persecution and death for Him. But we must never waver in our commitment to Him.

Prayer :

Lord, I depend on You to empower me to live for You, and, If necessary, to die for You.
