MAKE DISCIPLES EVERYWHERE

"It was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."
Luke 24:46-47

God the Father predetermined by His divine foreknowledge to give His Son over as a substitute upon the cross. Jesus was the Righteous given for the unrighteous. He bore in His body God's full wrath against sin. But then, like an incompetent employee, death did not have the necessary skill set to keep Jesus in the grave. Jesus resurrection was proof from heaven that God the Father had accepted His sacrifice.
Jesus death and resurrection dealt with two major problems. First, the problem of sin was handled: we deserved to die for our sins, but Jesus paid the death penalty for our sins. Now all who trust Him by faith are by His grace granted forgiveness. Second, Jesus also dealt with our significance problem: upon trusting Jesus as Savior, we are adopted into the family of God.
This new status gives our lives meaning and purpose. Apart from a relationship with God Father through Jesus the Son, we are still in our sins and have no purpose in this life.
This is the  message Jesus commanded that we are to share with others. If we are followers of Jesus, we are missionaries. People where we live, work, and play; family members, neighbors, other team parents, cashiers at the grocery store need to hear the good news of Jesus. Whom will we to talk to this week?

Prayer :

Father, help me make disciples in my circles of influence for the people's good and Your great glory.

Amen
