PEACE WITH GOD

There are many who say, "Who will show us any good?" Lord, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us. You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the season that their grain and wine increased. I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:6-8


Peace in God is the fruit of oneness with God. Every now and then it is helpful for us to take stock of our situation. Right now, you may not be experiencing difficulties during this time of your life. From your perspective, everything may seem sunny and clear; however, storms will come. How do we maintain a sense of peace and spiritual balance when these trails strike?
The answer is found in a close, abiding relationship with Jesus. Fixing our eyes and hearts on Him will give us an unshakeable peace. No one but God is equipped to handle our problems. He never meant for us to be strong on our own. He wants us finds courage, hope, and strength in Him and His Word. In Psalm 4, David reminds us that when we trust God will provide for us, we can lie down in peace. Accepting God's timetable and our limitations in every situation gives us the peace to release our anxieties into His care. Let Him provide for you in His timing. Tell Him all that you are feeding as you let His peace fill your heart. He has a solution.
When you accept life as a gift from God, you will find mercy and grace, forgiveness and hope, peace and everlasting serenity. Our peace resides in our Savior, who loves unconditionally. He has promised to help us and to deliver us into the Father's loving arms.

Father, I am grateful for Your gifts of gladness and peace today. Thank You for providing me with safety and rest in You. Amen.
