TREASURES ON DISPLAY

"If you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak to children of Israel." Exodus 19:5-6


Israel has been and always will be the chosen people of God. This promise from God, given to Moses, was contingent upon the Israelite's obedience and faithfulness to Yahweh. Their faithfulness and obedience make them a special treasure to God. By grace through faith in Jesus Christ, those of us who are Gentiles have been grafted into this covenant of blessing, with all the privileges and rights as the people of God. In light of this truth we, too, are special treasures to God. We are "a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession." (1 Peter 2:9).
The apostle Paul said we are "his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works" (Ephesians 2:10). This is possible only because of Jesus! We are treasures, God's masterpieces, that have been set on display for the world to see.
What is the purpose of a masterpiece? To reflect the glory and exhibit the  good care of it's master. As one of God's masterpieces, are you reflecting His glory? As His treasure, are you living in such a way that your life shines bright with the glory of God in a world of darkness? Today strive to be a Philippians 2:15 believer. "shine like stars in the world."

Prayer :

Father, thank You for making me one of Your special treasures. Help me to shine brightly in this world of darkness and to do so for Your glory.
