ON THE WAY WITH JESUS

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world! John 16:33

You dare not enter the new year with your own insights or in your own strength. You need a companion and a mentor who will show you the way and guide you with wisdom. The prospect of a new year can be simultaneously exciting and upsetting: exciting because it is filled with unknown opportunities, yet upsetting because you anxiously stare into the unknown.
It is a common mistake to allow the past to cloud your view when you consider the future. Crises, financial setbacks, droughts, floods and personal disappointments tend to determine the pattern of your life. As a result you may find yourself at the gateway to the new year, full of anxiety, worry and fear about the way ahead.
More than any other time of the year, you need to make a decision to put all your trust in the triune God. He loves you and cares about you. He wants to be your companion, but the choice is yours. Steadfastly believe Jesus promise that He has already overcome the world.
Enter into the new year holding His loving hand. He will lead you through the maze because He knows what is best for you.
Your duty is to obey Him; then fear and anxiety will be replaced by an increasing assurance that the Lord loves you. And you will become a partaker of His peace.

Prayer :

Savior, I thank You that You are my companion and that I can walk into this new year fully relying on You.
