GOD REMAINS IN CONTROL
He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. Colossians 1:17
In matters of state, a business undertaking, in the workplace and your private life, there comes a time when it seems as though everything is going wrong. The future seems uncertain and the present leaves much to be desired. Under such circumstances, the temptation arises to look back at the past in nostalgia and to yearn for "the good old days."
Regardless of what problems might be upsetting your personal life or the world around you, look back over history. You will discover that nations and individuals have struggled through difficult times that can be compared with what we are experiencing in our times. Disasters, hardships and dangers existed in the past.
People were confronted with sorrow and adversity, just as we are today. And yet the world has remained standing.
Before giving into despondency, first acknowledge the greatness, glory and constancy of God. He called the world into existence, He created man, He has kept watch over His creation and cared for us through the ages and sheltered us in every disaster.
He is the Creator God who shall never abandon His workmanship. In His unfathomable love, He gave His Son to this world, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life
(see John 3:16). Therefore, hold onto His promises; place your entire trust and faith in the living Christ. Through Him you will survive all dangers and adversities, to His greater glory.
Prayer :
You are eternal, Lord, and the workmanship of Your creation bears testimony to Your greater glory.
