WE BELONG TO ONE ANOTHER

 “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son.” John 3:16

It is a glorious and overwhelming truth that you belong to God. Undeserving and unworthy as you may be, the eternal Father has called you and made you His child. The love that He has poured out on you reassures your innermost being and frees your spirit, so that you unmistakably know that you belong to Him.

You might not be able to explain this experience, but you know to your own joyous satisfaction that you are God’s child and that you belong to Him. Yet, there is still a greater and more glorious truth born out of God’s love: not only do you belong to God, but He belongs to you. 

God, in His immeasurable love, has made Himself available so that you can own Him to the extent in which you accept Him. Once you have accepted Him and made this truth your own, you enter a new dimension of life.

God gives you wisdom so that you can deal with your problems in a calm and constructive way. You become aware of a dynamic inner strength that is not your own or from yourself. This strength helps you to resist temptations and to live victoriously. God becomes a living reality as He starts flow through you to others. 

To be owned by Him and to own Him, are the two greatest experiences of the Christian faith. They bring the reality of God back to the everyday life.

Prayer :

Lord God, I rejoice in the fact that I belong to You and that I experience inner strength and power when I realize that You belong to me.
