REJOICE IN THE LORD

 You have made known to me the path of life, You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand. 

Psalms 16:11

For some people prayer is boring. This is especially true if the beauty of prescribed prayer has waned and it has become nothing but a habit. It smothers your longing for God. Prayer can also become an unbearable burden if it is only a meaningless repetition of words and phrases. 

Prayer must be kept fresh and vibrant if you want it to achieve God's purpose. He never intended conversing with Him to be boring and dull. That is why the living presence of God and never our own needs and desires must always be at the center of our prayers.

You cannot be involved in praising and worshiping God without becoming intensely aware of the fact that you are in His holy presence. Praise is the doorway that leads you into the throne room of God. When you become conscious of being in His holy presence, you experience exceeding joy and glory like nowhere else on earth!

It is also praise that prevents our prayers from beginning meaningless. Praise uplifts you, despite your shortcomings, and creates a totally new relationship between you and  God. It strengthens your faith, joy, zeal and interest in life. Learn to praise God and start living on victorious ground. "Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever." (Psalms 106:1-2).

Prayer : 

O God who answers prayers, teach me to appreciate the power and real value of praising and worshiping You.
