WHO'S NUMBER TWO?

 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. 

Philippians 2:3-4

A Christian youth camp used to give an award every summer to the camper who best lived out the theme Jesus first, others next, self last. They encouraged young people to always put Jesus first in their lives. Knowing Him and obeying Him was to be their number one priority. 

The number two priority they encouraged is sometimes a little harder: considering the desires and needs of other people over your own. This is a flashback to Jesus words that real love means laying down your life for a friend. Serving others should truly be important to you. 

Prayer : 

Dear Lord, help us not to be selfish, help us to think about others and not just our self.
